This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply knowledge, practical skills and experience in leadership and management across a range of enterprise and industry contexts. Individuals at this level display initiative and judgement in planning, organising, implementing and monitoring their own workload and the workload of others. They use communication skills to support individuals and teams to meet organisational or enterprise requirements. They plan, design, apply and evaluate solutions to unpredictable problems, and identify, analyse and synthesise information from a variety of sources. 


Unit Schedule

Total number of units/Topics = 12 

4 core units  plus  8 elective units (to be agreed)

 Elective units must be relevant to the work environment and the qualification, maintain the integrity of the AQF alignment and contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome.

The program consists of 12 units of competency. It is expected that students will complete each unit within a 2 month period. The program is delivered over 2 years full time equivalent (2400 hours).

Work with colleagues from across government agencies and the private sector to refresh and develop your skills and energy for business leadership and management.
Learn new skills and apply useful models and tools at work.
Increase your understanding of the critical role of leadership and management in the public and private sector and enhance your opportunities for career progression within your organisation.

CPD offers RPL and Credit Transfer options for participants who hold other qualifications to meet elective requirements where appropriate. The offering above is designed to meet industry requirements of leaders and managers and meet the requirements of the AQF and qualification guidelines.

This is a nationally recognised, high quality professional development program, delivered by experienced managers and highly competent facilitators. The program is practical and learning is applied to the workplace immediately. Participants in this program will undertake a work based project as part of the course assessment requirements, contributing to the employer organisation as they learn.
